Where in the World Are You?

Hi friends, its been a while!! Since we’ve last talked I’ve been to Germany (Berlin & Cologne), Barcelona, Ireland (Dublin)/Northern Ireland. It’s been an absolute blast getting to travel all over Europe, leaving my friends and family only to guess where I will be going next.

Germany was amazing! I finally got to see family friends for the first time in their home country. My inner sports fanatic was also PUMPED to get to go to my first European soccer game!! Little did I know that both the teams that played are well known even in the States. Apparently I brought good luck to the team and am required to go back to all of the rest, because the home team/ “our team” won (sorry mom & dad see you never?). I also ended up covered in beer, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Thank you Bonkhoff Family!!

Barcelona was where I was joined by my friend from Ole Miss, and boy did we take complete advantage of Barcelona’s night life. We got to the club at 12 and the next time I looked at my phone it was 6:30am. This occurred twice. Needless to say, we ended up sleeping away most of the day. By the grace of God we were able to pull ourselves up out of bed each day to hit a few of the important places. If you plan on going out in Barcelona I don’t suggest planning ahead. By that I mean, don’t book a 25 euro bike tour the day before and promise yourselves that you will go. You won’t go! You’ll be the only one that hears the 2 alarms and you’ll turn both of them off only to go right back to sleep. I know from experience. But hey! When will I get to chance to stay up all night and sleep all day in Barcelona again?!

Ireland was this past weekend, and it was by fast my most favorite place that I have visited thus far! The beauty that it withholds is incredible and hard to describe. I traveled to the Cliffs of Moher as well as Giant’s Causeway (Northern Ireland). I’m a history nerd, so I was thrilled to learn more about the history of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Dublin itself was full of life. I cannot wait to go back one day and hopefully stay in a B&B on the coastline.

Tomorrow I’m off to my last destination! Any guesses where? I’ll leave you hanging with that. Until next time!!
